The Railway Transport Department was established 1998 in Varna. Its strategic importance is due to the proximity to the Ferryboat Complex, which greatly facilitates the direct control of the freight flow to and from the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) via the Varna - Ilichevsk - Poti/Batumi ferryboat line. The agreements, which the Department has signed with companies of good renown in the area of international railway and sea transport, give us the opportunity to develop optimal transport schemes of shipping all over Europe, the CIS and the Middle East.
